Here we will post news on a regular basis

We are waiting for maturity and impending mating

24/2-2018

We are excitedly waiting for the due date to arrive and for us to mate

9/3-2018

We have now been to Sweden and mated and can now only wait anxiously to see if there are puppies

14/4-2018

We have been to the vet and found out that Freja ran out of water. The pairing was not a real pairing and therefore there was a lot of uncertainty as to whether it had been successful. Unfortunately, it didn't come to anything this time. They were otherwise happy with each other and the male dog has produced several litters, so with him there was nothing to prevent it from succeeding.

We will try again in August and keep our fingers crossed that we will succeed with a litter.

More on that later...

31/7-2018

Then two pairings are over between Freja (Montana's Cherokee) and Louie (Starling's Louie). It was a couple of successful pairings and there was good chemistry between them. We can now only wait to get Freja scanned in 3 weeks..

14/8-2018

Freja is scheduled for a scan at the end of next week. It must take place between the 24th and 28th day of the first mating day. So expected Thursday or Friday

22/8-2018

Freja's scan will be on Monday. Since it will take place between the 24th and 28th day, it has been decided together with the vet that it will be Monday, the 28th day between the two pairings

27/8-2018

Scanning Freja went well. It has been established that min. 4 puppies and then it will be exciting if there are more hiding in the corners

Hvor er Freja dog dejlig at se på, hvor er det dog spændende at se hvor mange små hvalpe, som kommer frem i lyset.
Held og lykke med "familieforøgelsen" spændende at kunne følge med.😍👍

Frodo of the Shire

A hobbit has come to the kennel - Frodo of the Shire

Last Sunday a new hobbit came to The Shire - Frodo aka Starling's Galahad. He is super delicious and we expect a lot from him. Actually, we were not at all keen on having a male dog in the house. But the fact that, firstly: Emma, our beloved 12 ½-year-old schnauzer, has been diagnosed with breast cancer and cannot be operated on, and secondly, we could see that there is a lot of potential in Frodo, we fell head over heels for him.

Had we known barely half a year ago that Emma would become terminally ill, we would have kept one of our own beautiful males, but it was not to be

Frodo of the Shire - First dog show in Vejen Juni 22nd 2019

Frodo has been to his first exhibition as a Baby and won Best Baby. There is more good in him, but he must now grow bigger and build some more mass on body and soul.

The rosette must then be displayed

A very handsome and fiery Frodo on the table with his rosette

Saybia and Freja are to be parents

On 23 July 2019, Freja was mated with Aston (Saybia) and they are now expecting puppies at the end of September.

Freja was scanned today, 20 August and the forecast is 5-6 puppies and we expect them to be born around 24 September

Freja is about to burst

On Saturday 21 September, Freja is just about to burst and the birth has started. The temperature has dropped and this is a sign that labor is underway

Freja's 6 puppies, 3 girls and 3 boys.

On September 22, Freja gave birth to 6 puppies, 3 girls and 3 boys. They are healthy and fresh. They are gaining weight and have now started to have eyes

Blixen is ready for exhibition in Ballerup

Annelise Lange has done a great job getting Blixen (from our A-litter) ready for the exhibition in Ballerup. He looks sharp

Best Junior Ballerup - 2019

Blixen was best Junior male in Ballerup and thus Copenhagen's Junior winner 2019. The criticism is really good:

masculine well bodied junior male, in good condition, well developed for age, head with fine expression, good lines, small dark eyes, well placed ear, alert and lively expression, good neck length, nice transition between neck and back, sufficient forechest, well angulated front and back, correct topline, super quality coat in color and structure, moves with good stride length, very parallel behind, good temperament, nice male dog and well shown

Now with the rosette
